Recovery Month Awareness & Knowledge Sharing Day
Newcastle Cathedral, in partnership with organisations from across Newcastle's recovery sector.
Join organisations from across the city at Café 16 in Newcastle Cathedral’s Refectory for an opportunity to explore the challenges affecting our communities and how we can work together to create a more inclusive recovery city and region.
This event brings together businesses, community partners, and people with lived experience to have open conversations about addiction, recovery and stigma, while exploring practical ways to support our workplaces and communities.
Together, we will consider the impact of active addiction on our city, ask “Is recovery visible?”, and look at how we can move beyond stigma by recognising the positive change recovery brings to individuals, organisations and communities.
The day will include guest speakers, workshops, a choir performance, and opportunities to connect, reflect, share experiences, and be part of a citywide conversation about recovery.
You are also invited to stay from 4-5pm for the launch of a new exhibition coordinated by Revival Newcastle – a network of passionate people, services and organisations working together to support anyone affected by drug, alcohol, or other addiction issues.
